The GSI 3S Steel Buffer is designed for eliminating uncomfortable surging noise and maintaining recoil speed while increasing impact. The recoil spring is located inside the buffer and it offers 3 types of springs, so you can choose based on preference or temperatures. The increased weight of GSI’s 3S Steel Buffer than the original buffer increases impact, but the structural design allows increasing rebound to maintain return speed.

The 3S Buffer consists of three springs that can be selected according to the user's preference.
- Silver spring: Soft elastic spring setting is recommended to reflect the decrease in gas vaporization rate in winter.
- Black Spring: Used for elastic and stable balance sets similar to genuine buffer springs.
- Bronze Spring: Reflects the full vaporization rate of the magazine in summer, and recommends a hard spring setting to achieve a strong reaction.
